Cook Inlet Plants, Rocks, Animals, and Brian!

We haven't been up to much these past weeks.  The weather has been cold and rainy for the most part so we haven't gotten to do much exploring.  We have both been working many hours, although the tourist season is pretty much over so our work load has returned to normal... what a relief!  Brian is enjoying his new job and I am becoming very efficient at mine.  When ever we get a chance, we take a walk down to the beach and always seem to find something interesting...

This plant is called Fireweed.  It is everywhere and supposedly after it has finished blooming all the way to the top of the plant, the first frost follows soon after.

Why does the sun seem so much more intense up here?

We like to watch the seals catch their dinner in the evening.

Plan B if we can't afford rent.  I think it's bigger than our studio!
